Summer Berry Moon

Happy Full August Moon! Known as the Berry Moon by Native American Tribes.

This new moon approaching us has set many new experiences my way.

I cut my hair today according to the Lunar calendar to keep it healthy, I have skipped since the Spring Solstice and my hair really needed a trim.

I had my first Reiki done, and wow that was incredible. I feel like a new energy and way of thinking has evolved for me. The session was done at the Dr. I shadow's office, he is a founder of the Integrative Medicine program at Brown University and owner of the Sage Healing Collaborative, office of a handful of holistic practitioners, he let me get my first Reiki free and It was out of this world. He also let me borrow way too many books that are also infuencing me during this Berry Moon.

This week I started a 3 season diet. I eat locally grown produce to not only benefit the farmers but my gut micro biome. Apparently the soil used to grow food is benefical to my gut only when the food is meant to be eaten during a certain harvest time. So here I go eating all seasonally produce!

Today I started the Native American Summer Cleanse that works to naturally harmonize the body, mind, and spirit. I read this cleanse from a seasonal Detox book. Summer is time of the small intestine and the heart. During the summer I am surrounded by cook out food, cookies, cake, ice cream, fried everything and burgers, nothing good for either of those organs, except fruit! I was fortunate enough I ate very clean this summer but slacked a little in the dessert area... So cheers to this new moon and this cleanse!

Native American Summer Detox

Day 1: Colon Cleanse

Only eat seasonal fruits, berries, cherries, plums, peaches, figs, no bananas

Day 2: Releasing toxins in muscles, tissues, and organs

Just drink herbal teas, I will be drinking a mix of women's blend tea and detox tea herbs. It can be done as easily as chamomile or mint tea I just love different herbs :)

Day 3: Supplying digestive tract with minerals

Lots of veggies any way you want

Day 4: Mineralizing blood, lymph, and inner organs

Use water and boil left over vegetables ( peas, corn, carrot, onion, broccoli, zucchini, cabbage, parsley, green pepper, green beans, summer squash ) drink it as a broth

All done and now you can eat those boiled veggies and other foods!

Eat well or don't eat at all.

Happy Healthy Holistic
